Register For Trunk Or Treat At Upcoming Cinnaminson Back To School Nights

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Registration for this year’s Trunk or Treat in Cinnaminson will take place at the upcoming Back to School nights and on Cinnaminson Day, according to the event’s official Facebook page.
The fourth annual event takes place on Saturday evening, Oct. 21, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cinnaminson High School, 1197 Riverton Road.

The schedule for Back to School nights in the Cinnaminson Public School District is as follows:

• Sept. 18: New Albany School
• Sept. 26: Cinnaminson High School
• Sept. 27: Cinnaminson Middle School
• Sept. 28: Eleanor Rush Intermediate School

Although the event is for children ages 12 and under, registration will be held at the high school and middle school in case lines are too long at the other Back to School nights, or parents can’t make those events. Residents can also register by private messaging the administrators of the Facebook page. Last minute registrations will take place at Cinnaminson Day on Oct. 15 at Wood Park.

Registration is $5 to help cover the cost of the DJ, decorations, non-food treats and to buy the candy required to re-supply the trunk-or-treater vehicle participants. Registered cars can include up to four children who live in the same household, and are asked to bring 500+ pieces of candy.

Halloween Tailgating or “Trunk or Treat” is when trick-or-treating is done from parked car to parked car, so parents are able to keep a more watchful eye on their children. It is not intended to replace Halloween, just a fun event for Cinnaminson residents.

There will also be a "Teal Pumpkin Project," which are trunks for trick-or-treaters with food allergies.
