The last earthquake to affect New Jersey happened Nov. 30, when large earthquake in Delaware was felt throughout the state, the United States Geological Survey confirmed. The USGS said a 4.4 magnitude earthquake was detected near Dover at 4:47 p.m. Thursday, but the shakes from the quake were felt nearly across New Jersey.
