Thanksgiving Week Events At The Cinnaminson Library

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Here's a look at some upcoming events at the Cinnaminson Library for an abbreviated week due to Thanksgiving. Each event's description comes from the library's website. Click the name of each event for more information.

Monday, Nov. 25:
Thanksgiving Turkey Wreath Make & Take: Pop into the library any time on 11/25 to 11/27 to create an adorable turkey wreath to display for the holiday. Materials supplied by the library at the craft table in the Youth Services room.

The Open Book Club, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: This month, we will be discussing The Collector's Apprentice by B.A. Shapiro. The Book Group meets in the Cinnaminson Branch Library meeting room the last Monday of every month, 2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M., unless otherwise noted. New members are always welcome.

Chess Club, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.: For chess players of all levels. Beginners are both welcomed and encouraged! We can teach the rules of the game to those who wish to learn. Chess is an excellent way to keep your mind sharp and have fun while doing so. We will provide the boards but feel free to bring your own if you want.

Tuesday, Nov. 26:
Thanksgiving Turkey Wreath Make & Take: Pop into the library any time on 11/25 to 11/27 to create an adorable turkey wreath to display for the holiday. Materials supplied by the library at the craft table in the Youth Services room.

Tai Chi, 10:30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

Wednesday, Nov. 27:

Give Thanks Storytime, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Join us for a special storytime! We will hear stories, sing songs, play games and make a very special keepsake to make and take home for the holiday. We will be painting, so please wear clothes that can get messy!

Scrabble Club, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits with the new Scrabble Club forming at the Cinnaminson Library. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in, and we hope, stick around. It's stimulating, educational and most of all, lots of fun!

Saturday, Nov. 30:
K-POP in Your Area!, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Do you love KPop? We do too! Join us for an afternoon of fun as we discuss our favorite groups, newest videos, and more! Registration is not required.
