Toll Cut Under Consideration By Delaware River Port Authority

Commuters on four bridges connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania may be getting a break.
The Delaware River Port Authority’s finance committee has approved a measure to lower tolls for regular users of the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry bridges, the Associated Press reported.
Under the proposal, tolls for drivers who use the bridges a minimum of 18 times a month will go from $5 to $4, saving them more than $200 a year, according to the AP.

If approved by the DRPA’s board of commissioners later this month, the price break will go into effect later this year, the AP reports.
