Two Burlington County Men Sentenced in String of Bank Robberies

David Glenn and Shalir Hall were sentenced on Thursday.

Two Burlington County men have been sentenced to nine years in prison after they admitted to their roles in a series of bank robberies throughout South Jersey, seven of which took place in Burlington County, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said on Thursday.

Shalir Hall, 22, of Edgewater Park, previously pleaded guilty to an information charging him with nine counts of bank robbery.

David Glenn, 24, of Burlington Township, previously pleaded guilty to an information charging him with seven counts of bank robbery.

They were also sentenced to three years of supervised release.

They both pleaded guilty to robbing the PNC Bank in East Windsor on Jan. 8, the same day they robbed a TD Bank in Bellmawr.

They both also admitted to the following robberies: Beneficial Savings Bank in Willingboro on Nov. 14 and Nov. 26, 2013; PNC Bank in Mount Laurel on Nov. 29, 2013; Third National Bank in Delran on Dec. 12, 2013; and Roma Bank in Delran on Dec. 12, 2013.

Hall robbed the Beneficial Savings Bank in Willingboro on Sept. 27, 2013, by threatening and intimidating bank employees, demanding money and then fleeing the bank before teaming up with Glenn in the other robberies. Hall also robbed the Columbia Savings Bank in Maple Shade on Dec. 17, 2013.
