Wife Charged With Homicide In Accident That Killed Husband: Cops
The accident took place in Delran in November.

A 37-year-old Mount Laurel woman has been charged with homicide in the death of her 38-year-old husband who died when their car struck a utility pole and flipped over in a wooded area in Delran in November, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced.
Tameka Lawson has been charged with one count of first-degree vehicular homicide in the death of 38-year-old Jamar Rentie. She was arrested at her home on Friday after the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office received the results of toxicology tests conducted on blood drawn from Lawson following the crash.
Rentie was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, in the 100 block of Hartford Road. He was a front-seat passenger in a car being driven south on Hartford Road by Lawson.

They were both extricated from the car by the Delran Fire Department. Lawson was taken by the Delran Emergency Squad to Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro, where she was released after an evaluation.
The case will now be prepared for presentation to a Burlington County Grand Jury for possible indictment. The death was investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Delran Township Police Department. The lead investigators are BCPO Major Crimes Unit Detective Brian Miller and Delran Township Police Detective Dennis M. Rooney.
