Winter Weather Driving Tips From Cinnaminson Police
Winter is here and soon, there will be actual winter weather. Here are some tips on how to get around once it hits.

CINNAMINSON, NJ - It’s the first day of winter. It’s also 60 degrees outside, but eventually, it will be cold. Cold brings with it the likelihood of snow. Hey, we’ve already had some this year.
With this in mind, let’s take a look at some winter weather driving tips, recently provided by the Cinnaminson Police Department:
- Remove accumulated snow from abutting sidewalks to assist neighbor and school student safety. When clearing snow, be mindful not to shovel snow into roadways or adjoining properties.
- Shoveling out neighborhood fire hydrants is encouraged to allow for quick location and access in event of an emergency. Residents should be aware of fire hydrant locations and street address signs that could become inaccessible due to snow accumulation.
- Unless officially authorized, residents should never assume that frozen ponds or lakes are suitable for skating or other recreational activities.
