2 Union County Whole Foods Locations Hit By Data Breach
Breaking: Credit cards used at venues such as the BBQ or bar may have been impacted at 2 Union County locations.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Two Union County Whole Foods locations were the victim of a credit card breach.
The company says the breach did not affect cards used at the primary store checkout systems, as venues like taprooms and restaurants use a different point-of-sale system. Whole Foods also clarified that Amazon —which recently acquired the grocery chain — transactions were not impacted, as its systems to do not connect to Whole Foods.certain locations, such as taprooms and full table-service restaurants in some stores.
The impact specifically hit the BBQ Venue and Clark Bar inside the Clark location at 1255 Raritan Road. The BBQ Venue was also impacted inside the Vauxhall-Union location at 2245 Springfield Ave.

"When Whole Foods Market learned of this, the company launched an investigation, obtained the help of a leading cyber security forensics firm, contacted law enforcement, and is taking appropriate measures to address the issue," the company said in a statement.
Whole Foods said its investigation is ongoing and more details will be provided as it learns more.

Customers are encouraged to closely monitor their payment card statements and report any unauthorized charges to their bank.
