Clark Student Entrepreneurs to Present Ideas to Investors

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy will host an Investor Panel Presentation on March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. where young entrepreneurs will present their ideas to a panel of local investors in order to obtain funding for their new businesses and social movements.

This event will be held at The Academy For Allied Health Sciences, 1776 Raritan Road in Scotch Plains.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is an educational program that takes students in grades six through twelve through the process of starting and running real businesses over the course of a full academic year.
Students work in close cooperation with local leaders of industry, community members, and educators to develop ideas and objectives, write business plans, pitch potential investors, obtain funding, register with governmental agencies, develop their brand identity and more. By the end of the class, students own and operate fully functioning businesses that can be carried on after graduation.
The academy is open to any students incoming to grades 6 through 12 who reside in Clark, Garwood, Mountainside, Westfield, Fanwood and Scotch Plains.
Classes for 2015-16 are held on Mondays at the Academy for Information Technology (Magnet School) in Scotch Plains from 4 to 7 p.m.
