Cranford Clay Courts Tennis Club Now Open for the 2024 Season

Cranford, NJ – April 8, 2024 – The Cranford Clay Courts Club, located on Springfield Avenue in Cranford, announced its’ official opening on March 30th and is currently accepting new members for the 2024 Season.

The Club, now entering its 32nd Season, offers an extended outdoor tennis season, with the courts open in recent years from March through December, depending upon weather conditions. The Club enjoys the distinction of being the only clay court outdoor tennis facility in the area with a lighting system for night play on the Club’s well-maintained three har-tru (soft) courts and are open until 10:00pm 6 nights a week.

The friendly culture and communal aspect of the Club offers Members the unique opportunity to find a game without needing to bring a partner, particularly on weekday and weekend mornings. There are several events to get involved with throughout the season, including the popular Monday Night Social Doubles and Friday Night Social Doubles from 6:00- 8:00pm, a great way for members to play with no partner needed.

The Cranford Clay Courts also offers a Youth and Adult Tennis Academy, beginning in late May and running sessions through mid-August, as well as a mixed Tennis Team that competes against other area clubs.

The Club will be hosting a Season Opening “Open House” Party on May 6th from 6:00 -8:00pm (rain date May 13th), providing members and non-members alike with an opportunity to meet new players, play a few friendly matches and learn more about the Club. This is an ideal opportunity for players who may be considering joining the Club to experience the courts and culture.

Membership to the Cranford Clay Courts Club is open to both resident and non-residents. Annual costs for Cranford residents start at $255.00 for an individual. More details about membership pricing can be found on the Club website.
