Antiques Appraisal Affair comes to Miller-Cory House in Westfield

On Sunday, Sept. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m., an Antiques Appraisal Affair will take place at the Miller-Cory House Museum at 614 Mountain Ave. in Westfield. This is an opportunity to learn about your “treasures!” Bring hand-carried heirlooms and collectibles to be identified and evaluated by experienced dealers. The Miller-Cory House Museum appreciates the following dealers who are donating their time, talents, and expertise: Ina Giardina of the Summit Antiques Center, Summit and Kurt Horning of Winterhill Antiques, Scotch Plains.

Donations for appraisal services are one item for $4 or three items for $10; there is no limit to the number of items that can be brought. Please do not bring any very large items, weapons or firearms. All proceeds are used to support educational programs at the Miller-Cory House Museum. Complimentary refreshments will be served. Note that tours of the museum will not be conducted on Sept. 25.

Upcoming events include “Do You Know Your ABC’s?” on Oct. 2, “Four Centuries in a Weekend” on Oct. 15 and 16, and “Halloween Hocus Pocus” on Oct. 23.
