Catholic Schools Week at St. Agnes

Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of the contributions of the Catholic schools to the educational landscape in the U.S.  Saint Agnes School will begin its celebration on Saturday, January 29th at the 5:30 p.m. Mass at Saint Agnes Church.  Students will speak at each of the weekend Masses and hand out literature about the school.  The school’s opening Mass for Catholic Schools Week will be Sunday, January 30th at 10:30 a.m.  Focusing on the theme, “A+ for America,” the teachers and children of Saint Agnes will present a variety of activities throughout the week, including Student Appreciation Day, Talent Show, Teacher Appreciation Day, and a basketball game/pep rally.

Mrs. Heather Schnaars, principal of Saint Agnes School, announced that the school will conduct two Open Houses during the week.  On Sunday, January 30th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., visitors may tour the school, speak to teachers, students, and parents, watch a PowerPoint Presentation, receive registration information, and enjoy a continental breakfast.  The tour will include visits to the classrooms, computer lab, multi-media room, gymnasium, and pre-kindergarten.

A second Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, February 1st between the hours of 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., as well as 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.  Visitors are welcome to visit classrooms while they are in session.
