Intro to the range

Did you know that there is an Archery Range close by in Oak Ridge Park.

Oak Ridge Park used to be a golf course and is across the street from the Clark Pool.

There is a sign in the parking lot showing where the range is.

The Range is really very nice, with over 20 shooting lanes marked out from

10 to 90 meters. The range conforms to F.I.T.A. guidelines.

You MUST have a Union County archery permit to use the range which you

can get from Union County at their office in Westfield located at 300 North Ave

(Where you would go for a passport across the street from the Westfield Diner).

To acquire the permit you must either attend an approved Archery Safety Course,

Or have a NJ Bowhunter’s license.

The range is open for use during daylight hours all year, and although it is getting

Cold now, there are still a few “hard core” archers out there shooting.

As a shooter, you are responsible for your own equipment, including the target.

Cross Bows are NOT permitted unless you have a special Cross Bow Permit.
