
Aladdin JR., a stage adaptation of the popular tale, is coming to Carl H. Kumpf Middle School tonight and tomorrow.
Eighth grader Christian Ribeiro plays Aladdin, the charismatic hopeful who falls in love with the beautiful Princess Jasmine, played by 6th grader Alison Quagliato. Eighth grader Marion Petite plays the enigmatic Genie, and Madison Szilagyi, Lauren Semler, Chelsea Holzer, Arlene Vill, and Sunny Feng play the five female narrators, unraveling the tale.
The production also features Michael Palermo and Jennifer Casalino as the villainous Jafar and Iago, and Alex Stigliano and Lauren Leppler as the lovable characters of Abu and the Magic Carpet. Also present are Taylor Webb as the Sultaness and Sabah El-Garhy as Razoul. Additional members of the ensemble include Liam Fahy, Sarah Melillo, Ivy Meyer, Joanna Muller, Corinne Pencinger, Michael Racanelli, Fabiana Rocha, and Nadia Szilagyi.

Directed by Jeff Hogan, musically directed by Flora Alexander, choreographed by Kristin Agüero and stage-managed by 8th grader Sabrina Dias, Aladdin JR. takes the audience on a journey to a whole new world.
Performances are Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18, 7:00 p.m. at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School. The cost is $5 for general admission and $3 for students. For more information, call 732-381-0400.
