Shoplifting, Fraud, Warrant Arrests Made In Clark

Clark Police reported charging two people with shoplifting at Target recently.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police reported making multiple arrests for shoplifting, fraud and outstanding warrants.

Clark Police blotter:

On March 27 at 11:47 a.m.: Police arrested Eric Brown, 47, of Newark on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $500 from Union for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Union Police Department. Also arrested was Alterique Kearney, 45, of Irvington for shoplifting merchandise valued at $699.97 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Christopher Tuccio and Police Officer Mazhar Elwardany were the arresting officers.

On March 27 at 3:48 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Manvir Singh, 27, of Greenwood, Indiana for fraudulent use of a credit card, identity theft and theft by deception. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Detective Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On March 29 at 12:07 a.m.: In the vicinity of Walnut Avenue in Cranford, police arrested James Scott, 26, of New York, New York for burglary and resisting arrest. He was also charged as a fugitive from justice and subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Police Officer Brandon Pitts was the arresting officer. On March 29 at 1:24 p.m.: At 1255 Raritan Road, police arrested Telvonnah Jeffries, 25, of Elizabethport on outstanding warrants, totaling $3,600, from Edison, Elizabeth, Union and Woodbridge for contempt of court. She was subsequently turned over to the Woodbridge
Police Department. Police Officer Alex Yanes was the arresting officer.

On March 30 at 5:55 p.m.: Police arrested Rabyiha Lewis, 29, of Newark for shoplifting merchandise valued at $24.97 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.
