St. Agnes Students Make Pinwheels for Peace
Students participated in the "Whirled Peace" project.

On Sept. 21, the International Day of Peace, students from all grades at created pinwheels in honor of world peace.
Art teacher Lina Crincoli displayed the works of art in front of the school. The display featured a sun design made from the pinwheels, representing new hope. The center of the design had a Flag of Heroes in remembrance of Sept. 11.
The Whirled Peace project has over 3.5 million pinwheels spinning in more than 40 countries around the world. The project has been a huge success for art advocacy, uniting schools, and communities. “Pinwheels for Peace” is part of anti-bullying and anti-violence campaigns.
