• Lawsuit says 3 uncovered New Jersey reservoirs left 800,000 drinking water customers at risk (thecooldown.com subscription) — Clifton residents are among roughly 800,000 North Jersey customers whose drinking water system is being sued by state and federal officials over three uncovered reservoirs that may allow contamination. The case seeks court-ordered fixes, possible penalties, and new protections after years of alleged noncompliance and concerns about pathogens and stormwater impacts on treated water.
   

• A Beloved Longtime Actress Has Died (suggest.com) — Family and friends of veteran actress Bunny Levine will gather for a memorial service at the Jewish Memorial Chapel in Clifton on August 27.
