ā€¢ Police Seek Public's Help in Childcare Center Hit-and-Run (thecliftontimes.com) ā€” Clifton police are asking residents for help identifying an SUV that struck the front of Tiniest Footprints childcare center on Lexington Avenue early Thursday, June 18, then fled south on the street. Security video shows the light-colored small-to-medium SUV jumping the curb, hitting a garbage can and shattering windows, though the center was closed at the time. Anyone with information can anonymously call the Clifton Police Traffic Division at 973-470-5905.

ā€¢ Newark man charged with eluding police on Route 21 in Passaic County (news12.com) ā€” A Newark man faces charges after allegedly fleeing a Route 21 traffic stop that began in Passaic and briefly moved into Clifton, where a detective first pulled him over on the shoulder. Authorities say the driver then sped off, weaving through traffic and nearly hitting other motorists before the pursuit was called off under safety guidelines. The sheriffā€™s office later identified and arrested the suspect on eluding charges.
