• Former NJ Police Captain Attacked Victim During 'Dispute': Prosecutor (patch.com) — A Closter resident and former Palisades Park police captain has been charged with aggravated assault after authorities say a dispute was captured on cellphone video and led to his arrest in town. Prosecutors allege he briefly restricted the victim’s bodily functions during the altercation. He is being held in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing in Hackensack.
