Beat Summer Heat at Roberts Pool

Roberts Pool, the borough's only public pool, is getting ready to open its regular season.

As temperatures curl toward the 100-degree mark, a dip in the pool starts sounding better and better.

Lucky for borough residents, who are invited to join thousands of neighboring families at Roberts Pool this summer.

Located at 215 Hillcrest Ave. in Collingswood, Roberts’ sprawling façade is home to a majority of locals in summertime, especially since it remains the borough’s only public pool.

During regular season, Roberts Pool will keep gates open from noon to 8 p.m. Borough officials said evening hours are subject to change in August. Facilities will be closed on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31.

Roberts Pool offers guests three separate in-ground pools.

The largest pool—called The 50-Meter Pool, after its length—moves from a 3-foot deep section, to a 3-foot, 3-inch area.

The second-largest, called The Diving Pool, begins at a 3-foot, 8-inch depth, continually deepening until hitting 11 feet.

The Baby Pool, Roberts’ third pool, has an all-around depth of 1 foot, designed specifically for children.

When your skin prunes, enjoy the numerous activities Roberts Pool offers on land, including a playground, volleyball court, snack bar and shaded picnic area.

As the pool opens this weekend—and just eight days until regular season hours begin—now is the perfect time to get your family a pool membership.
