Damp Start, Awesome Finish to the Week

When will this rain get out here? When will the sun return? All the answers can be found in the PatchCast for April 29-May 5.

A low pressure system will be impacting our weather to begin the week. Monday will feature overcast skies with on and off showers. You will definitely want to grab that umbrella as you step out the door to work or school this morning. Temperatures will be rather cool as well, struggling to reach 60 degrees this afternoon. I wouldn't be surprised if we only manage the mid or upper 50s.

Tuesday will be a slight improvement over Monday, but the keyword there is slight. Skies will still be gray, and there will be a few leftover showers and some drizzle around. It won't be quite as cool as Monday; we should manage 60 to 65 for a high.

Beginning Wednesday, the weather will be awesome around here as high pressure gets locked in to our region. We'll climb back up to near 70 on Wednesday with a mix of sun and clouds. Sunshine will dominate on Thursday and Friday with temperatures a degree or two on either side of 70.

The weekend will be continued awesome with temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Look for bright sun on Saturday, but there may be a few more clouds around on Sunday as a cold front slowly works its way toward our area from the west.

Be sure to check out Phillyweather.net through the week for updated forecasts.
