If the Shoe Fits

Platform heels; are they really for everyone?

Fashion trends have always been tricky for me to follow. The newest trend that I see a lot of women following are wearing platform heels and wedges. As a petite woman, I am always looking for ways to make myself look taller-vertical stripes, dark colored clothing, even avoiding flats of any kind.

The fact of the matter is heels are not for everyone, especially not me. Trends will change but if you give me the choice between flats and heels, you should expect me to leave the heels behind.

If you do choose to follow this trend remember some pointers:

-If you're wearing open toed heels don't forget to paint your toe nails or at least give yourself a simple pedicure; it makes all the difference.

-When buying heels make sure you have stockings with you so they'll fit well when you wear them later out to work, school, or an outing.

-Shoe inserts can give support and not make you want to push your heels to the back of your closet.

-Redyeing shoes from last season will keep you from  spending money on shoes every season.

Lastly, always remember to put your best foot forward with your head held high.
