It really does not matter whether you are a democrat, republican, liberal of conservative, tea party type or constitutionalist.....the current actions by OUR GOVERNMENT (you know "our employees") has gone off the reservation.
We all know in the past from time to time EVERY administration has done things that at best we might call "wrong or over reaching". My first memories go back to Harry Truman just before "Ike" came into office. I even campaigned for Nixon and Lodge back in the 60's in Philly (and got mugged for it, I was just a teenager).

While I do not read books to much anymore (my eyes give me problems at my age), I can recall as a young man reading George Orwell's book 1984 in my middle teens. Later I also read a book called Winning through Intimidation by L. Ron Hubbard. The basis of these book has stuck with me through all my life. Now in my "senior years" much of this has come home to roost in America.

Even back in the 60's and 70's America was standing on "slippery ground" through several administrations; but we always seemed to get our feet back under us as a country. Most of us remember Watergate, the Contra Affair, ole "slick Willie" with Monica (which by today's standards seem dull and mundane).
Then things heated up some during Desert Storm One and Desert Storm Two and our involvement in the middle east. (It has always been my opinion that America should have gotten out of the United Nations back in the late 50's. Plus America is NOT and should NOT be the "World's Police Force!). It has made us few friends along the way, and when the "fit hits the shan" we find out who our REAL FRIENDS are!
By the time 9-11-2001 happened America got a serious wake up call. But it also gave our government "free reign" to create laws and government agencies to "combat" terrorism.
I believe the enactment of the Patriot Act was the worst piece of legislation ever created. The recent renewal of it just confirms my belief our legislators are only in it for the money and power. And we know absolute power corrupts absolutely!
Most Presidents might have one or two "fubar's" during their administration and we usually recover from it. but this current administration (to quote: the most transparent administration) is a total lie! A contrived lie in the Judicial section, the Legislation section but especially the Executive branch!
At my last count there are at least FIVE questionable "investigations" going on as to what our government has done in "over reach" (within our laws), or at least trying to twist those laws so that they are barely recognizable from what was originally constituted. Our Congress can have "hearings" until the cows come home, in the end? Barely nothing will really happen. Kind of like the Fox guarding the Henhouse. Or as I call it; either the Dog and Pony Show, or Kabuki Theater (and very bad Kabuki Theater at best).
I have griped long and hard, back even before the advent of the Internet. I have written long dissertations in the "old days" to the editors of the Cherry Hill Courier Post Newspaper as far back as the 1970's. Most of it has fallen on deaf ears. Yet 40 years later I see a lot of it coming to fruition by our "elected officials" and government.
Since the advent of the Internet when I came online back in 1997 I have written, blogged and now on Youtube "rants" expressed how "we" our having our "rights" stolen day by day and inch by inch! Its called INCREMENTALISM! It's like boiling a frog in a pot. You start out with him in a cool pot of water and slowly turn up the heat under him under he's cooked to death!
The advent of the most current fiasco of the NSA "spying" on us is merely a piece of an ongoing problem where we have allowed our government to trample our rights under the guise of "protecting us" (like 9184; from cradle to grave). Yet most Americans don't have a clue, don't want a clue or are to stupid to see what is being "stolen" from them day by day.
Some days I feel like John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness. When America is put under Marshal Law, troops in the streets, your 1st, 2nd, 4th, 10th Amendment Rights are squashed...soon to follow the rest of them.....you might wake up.....to little.....to late.
