Unsettled Weather Ahead

When will the rain arrive and how long will it last? Find out in the PatchCast for Feb.-25-March 3.

If I had to choose one day to be the "pick day" of the week, that day would be Monday. We'll enjoy high pressure Feb. 25, giving us mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. Don't get too used to this, though, because the rest of the week will be rather dreary.

An area of low pressure will move into our region Tuesday afternoon and linger nearby for the rest of the work and school week. Tuesday will be a breezy day with rain developing during the afternoon hours. The heaviest rain will fall Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Make sure you take that umbrella with you on Tuesday and Wednesday!

Temperatures will rise overnight Tuesday night and lead to a mild day on Wednesday. High temperatures may be between 55 and 60 if all goes right. Late Wednesday we may actually have a brief respite from the showers, so you may (fingers crossed) get to enjoy the mild temperatures after, say, 4 p.m.

We'll still be dealing with a few showers on Thursday with the low pressure system not far off the coast. It will finally begin to get far enough away from us on Friday, so we may see some sun but I still can't completely rule out leftover showers.

The weekend, as of now, looks decent. It appears to be dry but temperatures will be cooler. Sunday, March 3 will be breezy so it will feel cooler than the actual air temperature. Be sure to check out Phillyweather.net throughout the week for updated forecasts!
