Warm and a Bit Unsettled This Week

How warm will temperatures be this week? Find out in the PatchCast for April 15-21.

There may be a few showers around the Delaware Valley this morning, so it would be wise to grab the umbrella as you step out the door to go to work or school. By the afternoon, any shower activity should cease and skies will turn a little brighter. There is a possibility for more showers tonight, so the best time of the day will definitely be this afternoon.

The airmass that will be over us for the remainder of the week will be filled with moisture, so there will be a threat for showers and thunderstorms basically everyday. Tuesday will probably be a rather dreary day with clouds and perhaps fog along with that threat for a spotty shower or storm. On the plus side, temperatures will be milder.

Warmer weather will enter our region for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The moist airmass will bring us that risk for a shower or thunderstorm each day, but outside of any shower activity will be a mix of sun and clouds. I'm watching a cold front for Friday, but as of now, it looks like it won't arrive until late in the day or at night.

When Friday's cold front arrives, it will be accompanied by widespread showers and thunderstorms, so if you have outdoor plans for Friday evening you will definitely want to keep an eye on the forecast. Behind the cold front will be much cooler weather for the weekend.

A leftover shower or storm is possible Saturday morning, but the sun will be out by the afternoon. Sunday will feature bright sunshine through the day. Temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees cooler for the weekend than they will be for the second half of the work week.
