• Scotch-guarding your pants will save you the headache of removing stains later. As a spray, it is an inexpensive buy from most stores or you can take your pants to your dry cleaner to get them scotch-guarded.

• If you don't want to go through the trouble or money to scotch-guard your white pants, baking soda is a great stain remover and whitener. Before putting your pants in the washer rub some baking soda into the stain; most stains will remove, others may need a little more TLC.
