But those who want to take advantage of the offer, which gives buyers $20 free for every $50 of purchased while supplies last, should hurry. Last year, Collingswood sold out of the promo just one hour after sales began.

Like every year, shoppers who purchase $50 in —which acts as a gift card redeemable at all borough businesses—will receive $70 in .

Borough officials allot $40,000 in free cash to give away, and this bonus cash is distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. may only be bought in denominations of $50.

While Collingswood Cash can be used at obvious borough locations—restaurants, boutiques, beauty salons—it can also be redeemed for less-common services, including car work at an auto body, mounting at the borough taxidermist or dental work at a borough-based office.

According to borough officials, certificates do not expire—but all free bonus cash added to certificates will expire on March 31, 2012.
