Collingswood Hosts County Job Fair Tuesday

Looking for work? Collingswood will host the Camden County Job Fair Tuesday with more than 70 employers looking to hire.

The job fair, sponsored by the Camden County Freeholder Board, runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25. The fair takes place at the , 315 White Horse Pike.

Job seekers should “dress for success” and bring copies of their resume.

“Many of our constituents are looking for work and can’t find it. Adding to that frustration is the fact that the job market can be difficult to navigate through,” Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said in a statement. “The only way we’re going to get through this recession is together, so we’re holding this job fair as a chance for us to reach out and help bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.”

In addition to meeting with employers, job seekers can get help with resume writing and conducting an employment search. The assistance comes from Camden County’s One-Stop Resource Center, which runs training and education programs.

 “This is a great opportunity for employers to gain access to a local ready and willing workforce,” Cappelli said. “Having employees from the communities that you serve strengthens your business and makes our communities stronger. We encourage employers to attend and hope anyone in the job-hunting process will take advantage of this free event.”
