Eagles Legend to Visit Borough Today

Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski will visit Collingswood this afternoon.

He set Philadelphia on fire in the late 1970s as a quarterback for the Eagles. He's graced television screens as an NFL analyst for ESPN. He's part-owner of the Philadelphia Soul.

And today, Saturday, July 23, sports legend Ron Jaworski is hauling that weighty roster straight into Collingswood.

The 60-year-old will make his borough debut at the apartment complex, located at 700 Browning Rd., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this afternoon.

But Jaworski can hardly haul such impressive baggage into town without an entourage.

The entire Philadelphia Soul football team is coming with him, and will also be on hand to meet fans.

Yes, boys, that means the team's cheerleaders will be here, too.

Following the meet-and-greet, fans can look forward to a special performance by members of the Philadelphia Soul.

To beat the heat, visitors can enjoy on-site refreshments. This event is free and open to all.
