Fugitive Captured in Camden
Alexander Pagan was wanted on an outstanding Superior Court Bench Warrant for guns and drugs. He was arrested on Friday.

Members of the Camden County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit captured a fugitive on the 600 block of North 34th Street in Camden on Friday.
Alexander Pagan was wanted on an outstanding Superior Court Bench Warrant for guns and drugs.
As officers were arresting him, they found a loaded .380 caliber Bersa, 50 rounds of ammunition and 380 bags of heroin.

He was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon during a drug offense, possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and distribution of controlled dangerous substance within 1,000-feet of a school.
He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility on all warrants. Pagan’s bail is set at $150,000 on the new charges.

“I commend the investigative skills and dedication of all the officers involved in this fugitive’s apprehension,” Camden County Sheriff Charles H. Billingham said. “Their perseverance in developing information and professionalism at the scene led to a positive outcome taking a violent offender off the street.”
