Guitar Stolen From Stage During Dickey Betts & Great Southern Concert
Police said a guitar was stolen off the Scottish Rite Auditorium stage—during a Dickey Betts concert.

What else was going on at the Scottish Rite Auditorium Sunday, Jan. 30—besides a performance by legendary country-blues guitarist and former Allman Brothers Band member Dickey Betts?
Apparently, a lot.
According to police, at 9:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, officers were dispatched to 315 White Horse Pike—the Scottish Rite Auditorium—to investigate reports of a theft.

Police said the theft occurred inside the venue, during the Dickey Betts & Great Southern concert—whose set started at 7:30 p.m. and ended around 10 p.m. that night.
According to police, a male concertgoer reportedly removed a guitar from the stage area sometime during the show.

After taking the instrument off the stage, police said the male patron exited the venue and transported the guitar into his personal vehicle.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers located the man, who was identified as 42-year-old Ronald Maggi, a Pennsauken Township resident.
Police said the instrument was recovered from Maggi's car, which had been parked right outside in the Scottish Rite Auditorium's parking lot.
The stolen guitar—a model made by the brand Epiphone—was valued at $250, police reported.
Maggi was placed under arrest and taken to Collingswood Police Department for processing, where police charged him with theft of movable property.
Police said Maggi was released pending a hearing in CJP Court in Camden City at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 9.
Police were unable to confirm whether the guitar belonged to Betts, another performer, a crew member, or if it was owned by the venue.
