Man Admits Selling Heroin Throughout Camden County: Authorities
Jose Correa admitted selling at least 410 grams of heroin to two cooperating witnesses on five separate dates.

A South Jersey man has admitted to selling large quantities of heroin in Camden County, Acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick said Thursday afternoon. Jose Correa, a/k/a “Ciego,” 45, pleaded guilty to an information charging him with one count of distributing and possessing with intent to distribute heroin.
Correa admitted selling at least 410 grams of heroin to two cooperating witnesses on five separate dates between October 2015 and February 2016, according to documents filed in the case and statements made in court.
He also admitted to possessing with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin on the day that he was arrested on Feb. 25, 2016, authorities said. He is currently released on bond. He faces 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Correa’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 15.

The investigation was handled by the Philadelphia-Camden High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (PCHIDTA), which comprises federal, state and local law enforcement agencies using a coordinated approach to combat drug trafficking and other crimes.
PCHIDTA initiatives prioritize violent crimes and emphasize disruption of drug trafficking organizations and criminal activity.
