Man and Woman Fatally Shot in Camden on Monday
A total of six people have been killed in the city in the last three weeks.

A man and a woman were found fatally shot inside a home in Camden on Monday afternoon, bringing the total number of homicides to six in just under three weeks.
John Valerio, 23, and Aleshia Hill, 25, both of Camden, were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds inside a home on the unit block of North 26th Street in Camden around 1:42 p.m.
Their bodies were discovered by police officer who were responding to a 911 call, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said Monday night.

Valerio and Hill were both pronounced dead on the scene at 2:02 p.m.
The investigation into the shootings is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.

In the past three weeks, 24-year-old Michael Burrell Jr., of Camden, was fatally shot on the 500 block of Jackson Street; Rafael Vicente, 18, of Camden, was fatally shot and crashed his car on Haddon Avenue; Angel Soltero, 55, of Camden, was fatally shot near the intersection of Trenton and 9th streets; and Pedro Mercado, 22, of Camden, was accused of fatally shooting his mother, Iris Sanchez.
