Marlene's to Officially Celebrate New Location

On Nov. 6, moved directly , from its former location in The Avenue Mall, to its brand- at 707 Haddon Ave.

It was a big step for the shop, which had occupied its former location for 23 years, but has proved to be beneficial.

"Customers are just raving about the (new) place," said Marlene Gagliardi, owner of . "So far, no one's had any trouble finding our new spot across the street. In fact, business is even better than at our ."

And though the new location has been open for nearly a month, Gagliardi will host an open house event—which will serve as the shop's grand opening and ribbon-cutting—27 days after the shop moved.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, Gagliardi invites both her longtime and new clientele to join the open house, which will take place at the new location, at 707 Haddon Ave.

The event will run from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

And with the success she's already seen at her new home, Gagliardi said she's happier than ever to make the move official.

"It seems people feel a lot more comfortable stopping into this store. I don't know what it is, but I'm sure not complaining," she said, grinning. "I must be on the sunny side of the street nowadays."
