United States Census Bureau Releases Data for Collingswood Borough
For almost the past 10 years, Collingswood Borough's yearly trend is its declining population.

According to data released by the United States Census Bureau, Collingswood Borough's population has been declining steadily since 2000.
Census information reports Collingswood's 2009 population at 13,839. In 2000, that population was a larger 14,326. And in 1990, it was still higher, at 15,289.
From 1990 to 2000, Collingswood's population decreased by 963 people. And from 2000 to 2009, the borough's population again decreased, this time by 487 people.

In 1990, the borough's largest population could be found in the northwest section of Collingswood, containing Census-estimated 10,895 to 12,129 people per square mile. The second-largest population in 1990 was in the northern-central area of Collingswood, which contained 8,417 to 9,893 people per square mile. The third-most populated areas of the borough in 1990 were the central, east and southeast regions of Collingswood, each containing anywhere from 5,328 to 6,214 people per square mile. And in 1990, the least-populated parts of Collingswood were in the north and southwest areas, containing a reported 3,800 people per square mile.
In 2000, the Census reported Collingswood's most densely populated region to be the northeast area, containing about 9,635 people per square mile. The second largest population in 2000 could be found in southwest Collingswood, with 9,390 people per square mile. The third largest area was in the northwest, with 8,905 people per square mile. And the smallest population in 2000 was reported to be central Collingswood, containing around 5,172 people per square mile.
