15 Pounds Of Pot Seized In Bloomingdale Ave. Home: Cranford Cops

Two renters in the house were placed under arrest and charged with distribution, possession, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - Renters in a home on Bloomingdale Avenue are facing possession and distribution charges after a motor vehicle stop on June 6 led to a 15 pound pot seizure, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Matthew Siessel conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Bloomingdale Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue for a view obstruction and following an investigation on scene, Siessel arrested the driver, 25-year-old Dominque Williams from Bermuda, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle.

Williams, who was renting a Cranford home on Bloomingdale Avenue, was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. A follow-up investigation, by Detective Robert Jordan of the Cranford Police Detective Bureau, led back to the Bloomingdale Avenue home in Cranford where dete eventually seized over 15lbs. of packaged marijuana and cash, police said.

In connection with this seizure, Jordan arrested a second renter at the address, 25-year-old Cole Hill from Alabama and charged him with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone and possession of marijuana, police said.

Hill was processed at Cranford Police HQ and was provided with an upcoming Superior Court appearance date.

The investigation remains ongoing as the Cranford Police Department works with other federal
agencies.
