2 Cranford Locals Arrested On Drug-Related Charges In Clark

2 Cranford locals were among 9 arrested on charges including drug possession, shoplifting and driving under the influence in Clark: Police.

CLARK, NJ — Two Cranford locals were among nine people to be arrested on charges including drug possession, shoplifting and driving under the influence, according to the Clark Police blotter.

On April 9 at 9:59 p.m.: In the vicinity of Shop-Rite Way, police arrested Andrew Movchan, 18, of Cranford for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS). He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Brad Dustin was the arresting officer.

On April 14 at 7:56 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound entrance ramp, police arrested Alexander Gazsi, 29, single, of Cranford for possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Detective Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On April 11 at 1:04 p.m.: Police arrested Nelly Moreno, 60, of Kenilworth for shoplifting merchandise valued at $107.96 from the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. On April 13 at 2:07 a.m.: In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Nadirah Thurston, 24, of Newark for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael DeAngelo was the arresting officer.

On April 13 at 10:59 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Wilfred Torres, 39, of Rahway for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

On April 14 at 2:32 a.m.: In the vicinity of Broadway, police arrested Paul Villanova, 57, of Clark for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Anthony Salas was the arresting officer.

On April 15 at 3:39 a.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, police arrested Antonio Coward, 26, of Jamaica, New York for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.
