3 Cranford Locals Arrested For Cocaine, Heroin, DWI
3 Cranford locals were among 6 arrested on drug-related charges and driving while intoxicated, according to the police blotter.

CRANFORD, NJ — Three Cranford locals were among six arrested on drug-related charges and driving while intoxicated, according to the police blotter.
Cranford Police Blotter:
On May 29 at 11:49 p.m.: A 1999 Ford was stopped on North Avenue East for unclear plates. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Joseph Sherbo arrested a passenger, Anna Villena, 45, of Elizabeth for drug paraphernalia located inside the vehicle. She was changed with possession of drug paraphernalia, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates.

On May 13 at 11:01 a.m.: Police units were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of Besler Avenue for a welfare check. Following an investigation on scene, Sgt. Steven Toy arrested the resident, David Tenbroeck, 36, of Cranford for suspected cocaine and paraphernalia located in his home. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia, processed and released pending a superior court date.
On May 31 at 2:28 p.m.: A 2014 Chevrolet was stopped on Pine Street near Mansion Terrace for a view obstruction. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Gregory Federici arrested the driver, Amanda Maurer, 23, of Cranford for suspected heroin located inside the vehicle. She was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance near a school and possession of paraphernalia, processed and provided with a superior court appearance date. Additionally, she was issued motor vehicle summonses for a view obstruction and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

On June 1 at 3:36 p.m.: A 2017 Chevrolet was stopped on North Avenue East and John Street for failure to maintain their lane. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Christopher Gross arrested a passenger, Paul Discepolo, 25, of Garwood for a hypodermic syringe located on his person. He was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to keep right.
On June 1 at 9:21 p.m.: A 2016 Hyundai was stopped on North Avenue East near Elizabeth Avenue for a seat belt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Timothy Handy arrested a passenger, Lamar Spencer, 36, of East Orange for suspected marijuana located on his person. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for riding on parts not intended, failure to wear a seat belt and having an unregistered vehicle.
On June 2 at 2:28 p.m.: A 2013 Mazda was stopped on South Avenue East near Lincoln Avenue East for a cracked windshield. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Christopher Gross arrested the driver, Tyler Bailey, 21, of Summit for suspected heroin and a hypodermic syringe located on his person. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe, processed and provided with a superior court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued a motor vehicle summonses for an obstructed view, not having a valid driver’s license in his possession, and for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On June 2 at 7:57 p.m.: A 2000 Buick was stopped on Centennial Avenue near Buchanan Street for a seat belt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Michael O’Neil arrested the driver, Paul Conte, 57, of Cranford for driving while intoxicated. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for being a suspended driver, failure to wear a seatbelt and careless driving.
