7 Arrested On Drug And DWI Charges: Cranford Police
Cranford Police found Suboxone, cocaine, marijuana and hypodermic syringes inside multiple cars traveling through the town.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police found Suboxone, cocaine, marijuana and hypodermic syringes inside multiple cars traveling through the town.
Cranford Police Blotter:
On April 24 at 6:32 p.m.: A 2010 Toyota was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for an equipment violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Gregory Federici located Suboxone and a hypodermic syringe inside the vehicle. A passenger, Adam Czapek, 29, of Linden was arrested for possession of a prescription legend drug (Suboxone) and possession of hypodermic syringe, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to maintain lamps.

On April 27 at 2:14 p.m.: A 2004 Chrysler was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Myrtle Street for an equipment violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Robert Jordan located Suboxone and hypodermic syringes inside the vehicle. The driver, Edward Burozski, 47, of Garwood was arrested for possession of a prescription legend drug(Suboxone), possession of hypodermic syringe and possession of paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. Burozski was also issued motor vehicle summonses for having a view obstruction, failure to exhibit documents, and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On April 30 at 2:47 a.m.: Patrol units were dispatched to the area of Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for a suspicious motor vehicle. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Jason D’Agostino determined that the driver, Sondy Hyppolite, 37, of Clark was driving while intoxicated. Hyppolite was arrested for driving while intoxicated, processed, and released to a family member. Hyppolite was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, failure to submit to breath testing, delaying traffic, obstructing the flow of traffic, careless driving, and failure to maintain lamps.

On April 30 at 5:01 a.m.: Patrol units responded to the area of Elizabeth Avenue and Wade Avenue for a report of an individual sleeping behind the wheel. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Shayne Temple determined that the driver, Andres Arevalo, 24, of Bogota was driving while intoxicated. Arevalo was arrested for driving while intoxicated, processed, and released to a friend pending a Municipal Court Appearance. Arevalo was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated and failure to provide breath samples.
On April 30 at 8:28 p.m.: A 2006 Nissan was stopped at the intersection of Myrtle Street and Centennial Avenue for an equipment violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman John Rattigan located marijuana inside the vehicle. A passenger, Lamarr Drayton, 22, of Union was arrested for possession of marijuana(under50g) and possession of paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
On May 1 at 11:06 p.m.: A 2005 Honda was stopped at the intersection of Myrtle Street and Bryant Avenue for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman John Rattigan located marijuana inside the vehicle. A passenger, Jamie Long, 37, of Linden was arrested for possession of marijuana(under50g) and possession of paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. Long was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear a seat belt.
On May 2 at 2:58 a.m.: Patrol units responded to the area of Quine Street and Meeker Avenue on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. Units located the 2000 Pontiac in the area. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Jason D’Agostino located cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Joseph DePalma, 52, of Hoboken was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance(Cocaine), possession of marijuana(under 50g) and possession of paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Superior Court appearance.
