Artists "Paint The Town Of Cranford"

Cranford Plein Air Event & Art Sale welcomes artists from around the country for four-day event.

Acclaimed artists brought their art and talent into downtown Cranford over the weekend to "Paint the Town," an event sponsored by Cranford's Jersey Central Art Studios.

Beginning Wednesday, June 8,  artists were seen throughout the town painting, drawing and  creating works of art.  Joanies' Cafe, 29 North Union Avenue, is the information headquarters for the four-day event.

On  Saturday, artists were out painting in Cranford  throughout the morning.  From 1 to 3:30pm there was a head-to-head Quick Draw painting competition.

Saturday night was the Paint the Town Pre-Sale gala held at the Event Gallery in the Community Center.  Patrons attending were able to purchase paintings, enjoy cocktails and the fine cuisine of Avenue East, and socialize with fellow art  lovers and artists.

Today, from 1 to 5 p.m., the Grand Finale Painting Exhibition &  Sale will take place at the Event Gallery, 220 Walnut Street, Cranford.   Admission is free and open to the public.  All are  welcome.
