Bernie Is Cranford's Pet Of The Week

CRANFORD, NJ — Meet Bernie! He has been chosen as Cranford Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Meet Bernie, our 9 year old most magnificent cat. Bernie came to us as a newborn, having been abandoned and left under a bush.

With the help of our family dog, Cassie, who quickly became his surrogate mother, Bernie thrived. We soon noticed he displayed a sensitivity to and paid attention to anyone in emotional or physical distress.

He would reach out with his paws and draw you in, nuzzling and cuddling. He earned the nickname 'a little shaman in a cat suit.'

Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
