ARTIST BUZZ: A social networking night for artists

As an artist living and working in New Jersey, I sometimes find myself wondering "How do I connect with other artists in the area?"  Well, Rahway Arts District has the answer to that question with the annoucement of ARTIST BUZZ, a new monthly social networking night for artists. 

ARTIST BUZZ is an opportunity for artists to meet and socialize with other area artists, share ideas, information, and network, in an informal, friendly atmosphere.  This roving social networking meet up will be held at different restaurants and venues throughout Rahway from month to month.

The first event is set to take place at Cubanu Restaurant & Lounge, 1467 Main Street in Rahway, NJ, on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 7-9 PM.  Cubanu is offering a $5 martini as the Starving Artist featured cocktail for the evening.  There is no cover charge. Cubanu features a full menu of Cuban cuisine, including tapas, entrees, and signature drinks like flavored Mojitos.

Future ARTIST BUZZ events will include a Halloween-themed meet up, slide slam, video/film screening, game night, and other opportunities to socialize and network.

Artists interested in learning more should check out the Arts Rahway website page for more information. There's also a fun, make-your-own nametag that can be downloaded and printed from the site. Artists can customize it any way they like and wear it to the networking night.
