Cranford High School Business Students Win Big in the FDU Business Idea Competition
A tradition continued this year at Cranford High School as business students took their ideas and put them into action as they participated in the Fairleigh Dickinson University Rothman Institute Business Plan Idea Competition. Student participants were faced with the challenge of designing a business plan with an innovative entrepreneurial idea and charged with convincing judges why their idea should be chosen. Over 700 students submitted their ideas from around the Garden State. Of the 700, the top 36 were chosen by judges as finalists and semi-finalists. Cranford High School is pleased to announce that 12 of the 36 students are from Cranford. The students who will be receiving scholarships and awards are Michael Armstrong, Luke Christiano, John Armstrong, Diego Castro, Sarah Ross, John Pijanowski, Rachel Garofola, Tim Lisowski, Mike Palumbo, Jack Shapiro, Kasey Donahue, and Jason Cabrita. These outstanding achievers were honored at a ceremony at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Friday April 5th. Teachers that assisted and advised during the competition were Mr. Richard Goldstein, Mrs. Donna Cathcart, Mrs. Marci Krasny, and Mrs. Cindi Keyasko from the Cranford High School Business Department. Congratulations to all of our students.
