Bunny Hops Into Cranford For the Holiday

The Bunny made another appearance in Downtown Cranford this weekend as the Cranford Chamber of Commerce sponsored several events with the traditional character of Easter and Spring. The day’s festivities started with a sold out Breakfast with the Bunny at the Garlic Rose Bistro on North Avenue, then proceeded to a meet and greet at the Gazebo in the downtown area, and concluded with another meet and greet in the Centennial Village area.

The Chamber’s Breakfast with the Bunny has become a tradition in Cranford and for the last several years the event has been sold out, as families come together for a good meal and to meet one of their favorite characters. Kids of all ages posed for pictures as the Bunny went from table to table.

The downtown Meet and Greet saw over a hundred people stop by to talk with and take pictures with the Bunny.

“The weather was great today and it is great to see so many people coming to the downtown area. We had a great turn out today, and we are happy to provide these types of services to the patrons of Cranford’s businesses,” said Kurt Petschow, Vice-President of Cranford’s Chamber of Commerce.

The last event of the day was in the Centennial Village District of Cranford. The Bunny was available for another Meet and Greet with shopping district’s visitors. Many families made the journey down to the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Centennial Avenue to meet the Bunny and get a picture. The kids were running in the lawn, happy to be out of the house and enjoying the weather.

“We have been trying to do more events in the Centennial Village District,” said Gina Tipton, a Director of the Cranford Chamber of Commerce. “At the Chamber we service all parts of the Cranford Business Community including the Downtown, Centennial Village, Business Park, as well as several members from nearby towns."
