Business Students Put Ideas Into Action

Local students received scholarships a.nd awards from Farleigh Dickinson University Rothman Institute.

A tradition continued this year as Business students took their ideas and put them into action as they participated in the Farleigh Dickinson University Rothman Institute Business Plan Idea Competition.

Students were to design a business plan with an innovative entrepreneurial idea and convince the judges why their idea should be chosen. More than 650 students submitted their ideas from around New Jersey. Of those 650, the top 36 were chosen by judges as being finalists and semi-finalists. Cranford High School is pleased to announce 13 of those 36 students are from Cranford.

The students who will be receiving scholarships and awards are: AJ Buono, Kathryn Jordan, Matthew Ghiretti, Kathryn Hehl, William Daly, Valerie Podbelski, Erica Kripaitis, Erica Chiari, Walter James, Daniel Murphy, Jeffrey Kaiser, Kayla Piatkowski, Michael Polyviou.

The students were be honored at a ceremony at Farleigh Dickinson University on March 30. The students are advised by Richard Goldstein, Donna Cathcart, and Cindi Keyasko from Cranford High School Business Department.
