Busted Brake Lamp Leads To Drug Arrest: Cranford Police
Brendan Hannon was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 24-year-old Tom's River man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 27, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, a 2002 Mercury was stopped on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for having a brake lamp out. Following an investigation on scene, Matthew Siessel arrested the driver, Brendan Hannon, for suspected oxycodone found inside the vehicle, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, failure to signal a turn and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
