Busted Brake Lamp Leads To Drug Charge: Cranford Cops

Joshua Anderson was charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 31-year-old Morristown man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 17, according to the Cranford Police Department.

Authorities said a 1999 Mercury was stopped on Centennial Avenue and Winans Avenue for a brake lamp out. Following an investigation at the scene, Michael O’Neil arrested a passenger, Joshua Anderson, for suspected marijuana found in his possession, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, the driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for a seatbelt violation, police said.
