Busted Taillight Leads To Drug Arrest: Cranford Police
Anthony Quimi was charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 22-year-old Bloomfield man was charged with possession of under 50g marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 15, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Timothy Handy stopped a 2004 Nissan on Raritan Road and Centennial Avenue for a taillight out. Following an investigation at the scene, Handy arrested the driver, Anthony Quimi, for suspected marijuana found in his possession, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates, not wearing a seatbelt and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
