CRANFORD, NJ - The Cranford Police are investigating a collision between a car and a 13-year-old on a bicycle on Saturday.

According to authorities, police units were dispatched at 3:30 p.m. to the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Lincoln Avenue East on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist.

Police said the bike rider was a 13-year-old juvenile who sustained minor injuries. The driver of the 2017 Ford involved in the crash, a Union County resident, was not injured, police said.

The child was released released to their parent and the identity genders of both parties were not released by officials.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted into the cause of the crash, police said.
