Contractor Injured In Cranford Roof Collapse
The High Street home was vacant at the time of accident, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - Residents wondering what had helicopters hovering over High Street Tuesday evening soon discovered that a partially collapsed building was to blame.
According to authorities, the Cranford Police Department received a call at 5:33 p.m. reporting a home’s porch had collapsed on the 200 Block of High Street.
Police, Fire and EMS units responded to the partial porch/roof collapse on the vacant home that was under construction.

A contractor working on the structure was injured and sent to an area hospital for evaluation. According to officials, the Cranford Building Department and Fire Department are assessing the damage.
