Crack Arrest On North Avenue East: Cranford Police

Jonathan Baer also had suspected heroin on him, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 26-year-old Edison man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on April 16, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Detective Robert Jordan stopped a 2004 Honda on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for having a brake lamp out.

Following an investigation on scene, Jordan arrested the driver, Jonathan Baer, for suspected heroin and crack cocaine found inside the vehicle, police said. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, police said.
